New 15-inch iForm Expands Market For Insulating Concrete Forms Reward creates commercial opportunities by making 10-inch ICF walls possible

A new 15-inch iForm flat wall insulating concrete form (ICF) is scheduled for full production by mid-October, offering more builders the chance to compete in coveted commercial markets. Manufactured by Reward Wall Systems, Inc., the 15-inch iForm produces a 10-inch steel-reinforced monolithic concrete wall and rounds out the company's iForm product line.

Chief Operating Officer Hank Pfeiffer says the iForm creates exciting opportunities for builders who favor ICFs. "The 15-inch iForm will further expand the ability of our customers to penetrate additional construction markets that require thicker, stronger walls," says Pfeiffer.

Jason Fritz of Cemstone Concrete Products, a multi-state ready-mixed concrete company located in Minneapolis, agrees. "Many commercial projects have already been designed with 10- or 12-inch concrete walls, so when I make a presentation to the architects about a 4-, 6- or 8-inch wall, it doesn't sit too well with them," says Fritz. "They don't want to have to redesign for an 8-inch wall. We really need this 15-inch form to be able to compete for those jobs."

In addition to commercial projects, 10-inch concrete walls are favored for structures with a high degree of storm safety requirements, and projects with taller, deeper basements.

The 15-inch iForm retains the same popular design features of Reward's other iForm products, and is completely reversible and flip-able. The form provides two and a half inches of foam surrounding the 10-inch reinforced concrete core for a base R-value of 22 and a 4-hour fire rating. In addition to the straight form, the 15-inch model also is available in a 90-degree corner form.

Located in Omaha, Nebraska, Reward Wall Systems, Inc. was the first national manufacturer of two complete and diversified lines of insulating concrete forms used in residential and commercial structures. Reward's customers include general contractors, residential contractors, concrete contractors and construction supply distributors.
