Insulated Concrete Forms Ancillary Products
xLerator®
There's no comparison between xLerator and the pre-bent or bent-in-field rebar reinforcement recommended by other ICF companies. This patented design is a one-piece wire reinforcement that simply drops into the pre-formed slot in Reward's ledge and taper top form.
No tying or lapping is required reducing labor costs and time-consuming delays. It's fully engineered to properly address ledge loads and galvanized to protect against corrosion which can lead to reduced capacity of the concrete. Available exclusively from Reward the xLerator is the only ICF ledge reinforcement system to meet ACI 318 guidelines.
Covered by U.S. Patent #7,437,858
tieKey®
Reward Wall Systems tieKey® is the only patent-pending ICF
masonry anchor in the market. This unique patent-pending design is available in hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel, it is an easy to install, cast-in-place, adjustable masonry tie anchor embedded into the concrete wall formed by the ICF. This product is designed to provide the strength and security required when installing brick or stone veneer finishes.
Reward's tieKey is part one of a two part system; Reward's ICF masonry anchor and any standard wire tie. The masonry anchor is inserted through the ICF as the wall is constructed. The wire tie is installed by the mason contractor as the masonry facing is constructed.
Metal Starter Track
Reward’s metal starter track is eight feet long with a pre-bent
90-degree angle. The two legs are 2 ½ inches in length and fully knurled to ensure it is securely attached to the form.
The purpose of the metal starter track is to provide an efficient method of aligning and holding the first course of Reward ICFs to the dimensions of the building on the footing or slab. The track will help bridge the imperfections of the footing or slab. It also offers an effective method to level and hold the first course when the footing or slab is not level.
Foam Adhesives, Cleaners and Guns
Whether you need foam-to-foam or wood-to-foam adhesives, you can get them through Reward.
Foam-to-foam adhesives don't dissolve foam like other glues can, and they produce a solid joint that can't be pulled apart. Use them when gluing the first course of forms to footers, attaching drywall to foam, bonding foam together where there's a cut, or filling holes or voids.
Wood-to-foam adhesives are used as sub-floor glues that can bond foam to wood, foam to foam or wood to wood. Use it to attach plywood to the top of floor joists, as a substitute for nailing, and to eliminate squeaky floors
Application guns and foam cleaner are also available.
Anchor Tunnel
Install anchor bolts in ICFs without using pressure-treated wood. Before the pour, install your anchor tunnels wherever you want to attach anything to an ICF wall. Concrete flows out to the rim joist while the anchor tunnel protects the wood from coming in direct contact with the concrete. It's so simple!
ICF Ledge Connector System
Mounting steel or wood ledgers on ICF walls is now easy, with the new ledger connector system by Simpson Strong-Tie. The perforations in the embedded leg of the connector let the concrete flow around it, anchoring it securely within the block. The exposed flange then provides a structural surface where you can mount either wood or a steel ledger.
